About this collection
In the universe of Khwampa, every image is a threshold, an invitation to get lost. Not lost in the sense of absence or dispersion, but in the sacred act of choosing a path and surrendering to it fully. The works unfold as vivid, pulsating cartographies of the mind and spirit, where each brushstroke, each pixel, becomes a trace of movement, a mark of presence, a decision made and inhabited.
To choose, for Khwampa, is not to limit, it is to consecrate. Within the grid of infinite possibilities, the artist commits to a single trajectory, as one might step into a ritual. The freedom, paradoxically, lies within that commitment, in tending to the space, cultivating its textures, listening deeply to its rhythms until the image begins to reveal itself, not as a construction, but as something unearthed.
Each work is both a sanctuary and a site of excavation. The digital surface becomes an archaeological field where symbols, forms, and stories emerge not by design but through encounter, serendipitous, chaotic, yet strangely inevitable. Numbers punctuate the compositions like coordinates on a spiritual map, marking places of pause, of memory, of inner architecture.
Navigating the artwork is a game of intuition and tension, a dance across the pixel grid where the artist moves like a seeker, like a player solving an unseen puzzle. It is here that maximalism becomes a philosophy rather than a style, an overflow of stimuli that invites the viewer not to consume but to dwell, to wander, to decode.
There is no beginning, no end, only the sensation, when all is done, that this image had been waiting to be found. That in all its dazzling complexity, it simply is, the inevitable result of having chosen, stayed, listened, and then moved on.
This new body of work is not a destination, it is a constellation of places cultivated in the moment of getting lost, and in doing so, becoming whole.
Who is Khwampa
I am khwampa, and I am from Uttarakhand, India, which lies on the Southern Slope of the Himalayan range My work is an unapologetic declaration of maximalism, overstimulation, and chaos, where every piece can be seen as a psychedelic maze of swirling colors and abstract forms at first glance. Deep within, each work is a digital archaeological site where imagination is buried and constantly converses with serendipitous forms that occurred at the moment of creation, digital brushstrokes, accumulated textures, accidental mark-making, and cultural motifs and stories.
